I am one heckofa trooper. I just went through my first major surgery on Dec. 29 -- I got neutered / fixed / altered AND had my thumbs (dewclaws) removed. I had to stay overnight at the animal hospital. The next day I was running, jumping, and acting like my usual self.
A lot of new things happened to me in my life this December, including:
1) My First Christmas
I was able to rip open my wrapped presents, and then some!
2) My First Long Road Trip (1,200 miles)
I slept most of the time on the passenger side floor of a Honda Civic that was packed full of stuff. I didn't even get the whole floor because of these human leg hogs.
When I wasn't sleeping, I was being a well-behaved pup chewing my rawhide.
3) My First Camping Experience
I woke up in the literally freezing New Mexico temperatures shivering.
Laura let me into the bag to warm up.
4) My First Romp Through Texas
Texas grass has these horribly wretched pain-inflicting things called burrs that got all stuck in my feet and coat. Ouch. There is so much open land in Texas!
5) My First Meeting of a Grandparent
Grandpa Don let me get away with everything: chew his shoelaces, jump up on him, and run free throughout the house.
6) My First Time Sneaking into a Motel
After driving for 13 hours, I didn't want to camp again, so I was smuggled into an Arizona one-star motel.Ahhh, a comfy king with a TV remote. Brian and Laura were upset they paid for a place with 3 broken lights, no clock, and a nasty bathroom, so they asked me to take a big fat pooh in the parking lot... and I DID (hey, I had been storing it up for 13+ hours, and Arizona has no grass for me anyway).
